GW Innovative Interiors is a company born from one mans passion for fine furniture, interiors and exciting designs.
Garry Wrights passion for furniture began when he still at school; whilst watching an old Sherlock Holmes film, he spotted a deep-buttoned chair which inspired him to find out how it was made. When Garry left school he went straight into an Apprenticeship as an upholsterer and due to his commitment and emerging talent, he was chosen to represent his country in the Skill Olympics in Cork in 1979.
Garry completed his apprenticeship and continued to work and grow as an upholsterer, which further ignited his passion for fine furniture and antiques. Garry was trained in the traditional ways of upholstering furniture and restoring antiques which is sadly lacking in 2014. Garry continued to work in the industry for a few select companies and as always strived to learn more skills which included furniture design and manufacture and he learned how to create new handmade furniture and stylish contemporary pieces. After 26 years of working for other people, Garry decided it was time to set up his own business so that he could showcase the skills that he had learned over the years. In less than 12 months Garry found himself with a team of staff, a workshop, showroom and full order book and client list which has continued to grow. In 2004 Garry’s wife joined him in the business and together they have forged a family business that prides itself on it’s personal service, they remain approachable and down to earth with the ability to listen to clients needs.
GW’s now boasts a team of in-house specialists including furniture designers, upholsterers, seamstresses and interior designers to offer you a truly quality service. Their clients range from someone who may simply want their dining chairs recovering to a full interior design scheme for a house or commercial property.
